Workforce Development

We build programs and pathways to recruit, train, and support youth development leaders who will forward the Community Schools vision.

Supporting professional development of current staff and growing the future workforce

San Francisco Beacon Initiative works with existing youth development leaders to grow their skills and create pathways for rewarding careers in the field. We also grow opportunities for employment through partnerships with universities, colleges, and youth-serving Community Based Organizations. Additionally, we work with our young people to grow the next generation of leaders.

Our Vision

Our vision is for schools to be filled with high-quality staff who work in joyful relationships with one another and can provide the environment, experiences and instruction that ensure youth success. In this future, students will be received with love, care, and the conditions to fulfill their dreams. By transforming schools, SFBI is building more just and equitable communities.
